Emotional baggage

I've noticed I carry more baggage
When I don't know what I'll need;
Or said another way:
What I'll have when I arrive.

I don't even know where I'm going.
I just want to be prepared;
Or said another way:
I want to have what I might need.

I don't know what I'll need.
So I guess I want it all...
Just in case:
In the case I need to put it all.

Perhaps I'll have it all when I arrive,
And wish I'd left it all behind.

  1. We don't have to arrive with luggage or baggage to prove that we traveled. I hope I arrive just as I came.
